Last sunday i was out with wife and daughter and my surge recorded 188 floors.
Fitbit surge not counting floors.
I have restarted it that didnt work fed up with it it cost a fortune and doesnt work properly.
Partial floors are not counted so if you climb 15 ft you get credit for one floor.

When your tracker is on your non dominant wrist fitbit increases the step counting sensitivity.

Your device registers one floor when you climb about 10 feet at one time.
Not all flights are the same height or distance so if the flight you climbed is less than 10 feet you may find that the device s floor count doesn t exactly match how many floors you climbed.
I normally do around 40 60 floors a day and no i m lucky if it registers 1.
It will count 1 floor for every 10 ft it detects you climbed.

Bought it mid of january and it worked fine till 24th of february.
This helps to reduce undercounting your steps and it is also the default setting.
Exposure to excess moisture can also cause result in fewer floors.
